Hamed Shokibania

Hamed Shokibania, born in 1972, is an Iranian documentary filmmaker, producer, and cinematographer. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications and a master’s in Social and Economic Systems. Among his notable works as a producer are the documentaries Iran and the West, American-Style War, The Scientist, the Politician, and the Bomb, I Am Not Nuclear Energy, and Iran Without Water, and he served as cinematographer for Birth in the Scorched Land. He has received numerous national and awards, including honors from the Al Jazeera International Documentary Film Festival, San Francisco’s Earth Day Festival, India’s National Festival, TMC London Festival, Fajr International Film Festival, Cinema Vérité, the Avini Award, Iran Cinema House Celebration, Tehran International Short Film Festival (Best Film in the Interfaith Section), the Golden Gazelle at the Green Festival, Nahal Festival, and the Book City Award.
