Reza Farahmand (born March 21, 1978, in Birjand) is an Iranian screenwriter and film/TV director, holding a degree in Agricultural Engineering, who has primarily dedicated his career to documentary filmmaking. Known for works such as Women with Baroti EarringsPersookDollCoast to CoastAscended RoomShirzad, the documentary series Another JourneyIntersectionThree-Person Dialogue, and Please Honk, he has earned accolades including the Crystal Simorgh for Best Documentary at the 28th Fajr Film Festival (Ascended Room), Best Documentary Selection at Cinema Vérité (Persook), Best Documentary at the Growth Film Festival (Ascended Room), and Best Film at Australia’s Cinewest Festival (Shirzad). His films, celebrated for their exploration of social and cultural narratives, have garnered both national and international acclaim.
