Full Text of the remarks by Ahmad Noroozi, head of the IRIB‌’s World Service , at the award ceremony of the Third Sobh Media Festival:

We are grateful to God that the Sobh Festival is experiencing its third edition. A festival that has now grown more robust and has become a major media event in Iran and the world. The necessary explanations regarding the competitive section of the festival were provided by the esteemed secretary, and there is no need to repeat them. For my part, I extend my utmost gratitude and appreciation to the hardworking secretary and secretariat of the Sobh Festival for organizing this event so well.

The world, which in the past decade has witnessed the acceleration and decline of the unipolar system, has now entered an irreversible era following (Operation) Al-Aqsa Storm. Not only has the era of unipolarity neared its end, but the deceptive façade of the value system governing this approach has suddenly collapsed, and the world has clearly witnessed its disgraceful reality.

In a horrific crime since October 2023, over 52,400 people have been martyred, and more than 118,000 of Gaza’s approximately 2.2 million population have been wounded – meaning about 8% of Gaza’s population so far. Women and children have borne a greater share of these casualties, to the extent that, according to a recent UN report, between March 18 and April 7, in 36 airstrikes by the Zionist regime on Gaza, all the victims were women and children.

The awakened consciences of the world are weary of witnessing the live, daily genocide in Gaza, yet the system born of American unipolarity has blocked any action to hold the perpetrators of this genocide accountable. Nevertheless, political and popular movements worldwide have shown that the oppressive system supporting this injustice is on its last legs. The attack on the “Dhamir Al-Alami”, Arabic for Global Conscience, from the “Freedom Flotilla” initiative, which was sailing toward Gaza to deliver humanitarian aid, is the latest example of such efforts.

Amidst this, alongside Palestinian resistance, we must salute all resistance groups – from proud Lebanon to Iraq and Yemen – who have stood firm against the oppressor, offering practical support and sacrificing the lives of their finest in this path. As an Iranian citizen, I am proud that my country has spared no effort in supporting the courageous people of Palestine.

I say with certainty that (Operation) Al-Aqsa Storm hastened the collapse of the American unipolar system and increased the world’s inclination toward establishing a new order based on justice and spirituality.

I pay tribute to the souls of all the martyrs of this glorious path, especially the martyred journalists who gave their lives to uphold truth and justice, and I thank all the guests who have attended this event from different continents across the world.

And I swear by the dawn (Sobh) as it breaks, dispelling darkness with its light.
