A Croatian writer and journalist stated, “Iran has a rich and long history, which sparked my interest in learning more about it.”
Commenting on his attendance at the Sobh International Media Event, Croatian journalist and writer Denijal Jegic said, “I was invited to attend the event, and I was delighted and welcomed because it was my first time in Iran.”
“I love Iran, and I have enjoyed everything since we arrived here. The warm welcome we received was something I had never experienced in any other country, and it made a strong impression on me.”
When asked how he became familiar with Iran, Jegic replied, “I know very little about Iran, but I am aware that it has a rich and long history, and that is what initially piqued my interest in learning more about it.”
He added, “As someone who has lived in Lebanon for many years, I have gained some insight into Iran, especially regarding the media’s portrayal of the country. I believe there is often a biased and distorted representation of Iran in Western media, and this is a topic I am researching.”
Jegic further elaborated on the limited and one-sided perspectives prevalent in European and American views of Iran: “Unfortunately, Western media tends to have a narrow and discriminatory approach, often influenced by a particular ideology. However, events like this festival serve as a platform for the exchange of ideas and can help expand analytical perspectives.”
