The closing ceremony of the 2nd Sobh International Media Festival will be held on Tuesday, May 21st, at 3:00 PM at the IRIB International Conference Center in the presence of the head of the IRIB and 40 international guests.

The 2nd Sobh International Media Festival, with Mohsen Yazdi as the festival director, will start on May 19th. The festival will feature the screening of documentary works, animations, and short films entered into the competition, as well as professional workshops on media-related topics. During the closing ceremony of this event, there will be a commemoration for Asra Al-Bahisi, a journalist from Al-Alam Network in Gaza. She has diligently prepared and published numerous reports from Gaza and Palestine over the course of more than 7 months of war in the occupied territories. Her efforts aimed to amplify the voices of the oppressed Palestinian people to the world.

The unveiling of the “Fath Gharib” painting, the latest work by Hassan Ruh Al-Amin, will be one of the special highlights of this event. This painting offers a unique perspective on the victories of the resistance front in Gaza and the downfall of the Zionist regime.

Also, in this ceremony, the winners of various categories, such as News, Radio and Podcast, Social Media, Website and Web Video, Motion Graphics, Animation and Music Video, Television, Illustration (Palestine special), Feature Story (Palestine special), Short Film, and Documentary Film, will be recognized.

Peyman Jebelli, the head of the IRIB, is the keynote speaker of this ceremony, and in his presence, the Martyrs of Gaza Journalist Award will be presented.

The 2nd Sobh International Media Festival begins on May 19 in three sections: “Main,” “IRIB World Service,” and “Palestine Special.” The main part of this festival is the screening of documentary works, animations, and short films entered into the competition, along with specialized workshops on media topics.
